Silent blocks - rubber anti-vibration elements or deformation shock absorbers consist of a block of material with high internal absorption e.g. rubber. Silent blocks (rubber damper) are suitable for small vibrations. The most common types are silent blocks with a cylindrical or conical shape. We also offer square silent blocks (e.g. AH), round silent blocks (e.g. KGD), spool-shaped silent blocks (e.g. TPA), unthreaded silent blocks (e.g. IS) and hood-shaped silent blocks (e.g. RB). This range is extended with a section which offers special and atypical silent blocks. We offer silent blocks in a number of various diameters and lengths. silent blocks are designed to absorb shock, to insulate vibrations in a passive as well as active manner, to insulate noise, to transmit forces, to provide protective mounting, etc. The high level of technological processing makes it possible to manufacture high quality anti-vibration components (silent blocks) with required properties.
Silent blocks are usually manufactured from the materials NBR and SBR with a hardness of 55 ShA (+/- 5). For installation, silent blocks (rubber damper) are equipped with a screw or an internal thread. Silent blocks (rubber buffer) are used as stops or shock absorbing elements where it is necessary to suppress the transmission of vibrations from one component to another. In addition, silent blocks (rubber buffer) are used for example for mounting chassis components and are components in motor vehicle to which the highest loads are applied. Silent blocks must withstand extreme loads, shocks and in most cases must be maintenance free.
Silent blocks (rubber buffer) are dispatched in PE bags, cardboard boxes or on pallets. Silent blocks (rubber damper) of one type and dimension are packed in the same package. In our GUFERO order system you can buy any quantity of silent blocks (rubber damper) in various sizes. We have the majority of the silent blocks in all dimensions in sufficient quantities (thousands of pieces) in stock. There are therefore no long lead times. Silent blocks are dispatched from our warehouse within 24 hours as of the conclusion of the order.
Provided that storage conditions pursuant to the ČSN 63 0001 standard are adhered to, it is possible to store silent blocks for up to 7 years. The storage conditions for silent blocks are typical for warehouses where silent blocks are usually kept and relate to air humidity, temperature and pressure.
Silent blocks are manufactured and supplied with a tolerance pursuant to DIN 7715 Part 2, Class M4. This standard defines maximum metric variations which are permitted to occur during the manufacture of silent blocks (rubber damper) for individual groups of sizes.
It is possible to use silent blocks at operating temperatures from -40 °C to +90 °C. Silent blocks (rubber damper) are designed for occasional higher thermal shocks, but in such cases the service life of the silent block is reduced considerably making it necessary to replace it earlier.
