GUFERO rubber sealing cords is a commonly used name for extruded sections made of homogenous rubber. We offer rubber cords in versions with round and square profiles. The selection of the right profile of the sealing cord depends on the application. Rubber sealing cords are made by the extrusion and free vulcanization of rubber mixtures.
This material for sealing cords is easily recognized by its black colour. The sealing cords are made in both round and square profiles with standard hardness 70 ShA. Sealing cords made of this material are designed to withstand temperatures from -40 to +110 °C. The temperature range increases to 130 °C on a short-term basis when these rubber cords are exposed to the effects of steam. The sealing cords are suitable for aliphatic hydrocarbons (e.g. propane, butane, petrol...). These sealing cords may be used for the sealing of lubricants based on mineral oil.
This variant of sealing cords is characterized by its light colour. We supply these rubber cords in round or square profiles and the hardness of these cords reaches 70 ShA. The material of which these sealing cords are made can withstand temperatures within the range of -50 to +150 °C. When exposed to steam the temperature should not exceed 120 °C. The rubber sealing cords may be used for high temperature loads and sealing of food products. These sealing cords are non-conducting and to a great extent resistant to alcohols.
Rubber sealing cords made of EPDM have a dark colour and have a round profile. The hardness of these sealing cords is 70 ShA. Sealing cords made of EPDM can withstand temperatures within the range of -40 to +140 °C. If exposed to steam a temperature of 130 °C should not be exceeded. The material of which these sealing cords are made is resistant to inorganic as well as organic solvents. These sealing cords are also resistant to oxidizing media such as alkali agents and ketones.
Sealing cords made of FPM are red. The rubber cords made of this material have a round profile and a standard hardness of 70 ShA. Rubber sealing cords manufactured in this manner can withstand temperatures within the range of -20 to +200 °C. If exposed to the effects of steam a temperature of 140 °C should not be exceeded. Higher temperatures may cause faster wear of the sealing cord resulting in the necessity to replace the rubber cord earlier than usual. Rubber sealing cords are highly resistant to mineral, plant as well as animal oils. These sealing cords are also resistant to certain additives and fuels.
