Shaft seals also known as shaft sealing rings, oil seals, simmering, lip seal, simmerink, shaft washers and oil rings are sealing elements designed for the sealing of rotating shafts and other parts of machines. Shaft GUFERO® sealing ring is reinforced with a metal ring and equipped with a tensioning spring. In some types, however, an oil seal without a spring or metal ring is used.
G - without duster/dust lip
GP - with duster (double lip)
DL - left-handed rib profile of the seal surface of GUFERO® shaft seals
DP - right-handed rib profile of the seal surface of the GUFERO® shaft seals
DS – double-sided hydrodynamic type of the seal surface of the GUFERO® shaft seals
V - wave-type of the external surface of the GUFERO® shaft seals
AV - wave-type version of the partially rubber-coated external surface of the GUFERO® shaft seal
O - GUFERO® shaft seals without spring
Prior to the installation of the GUFERO® shaft seal, it is always necessary to clean its surface using a soft cloth and to immerse it for about 15 minutes into the sealing liquid at a temperature of 18 °C to 25 °C.
The front surface of the seal i.e. the surface with the metal spring must face the space to be sealed.
The GUFERO® shaft ring with duster, we recommend filling up to half of the space between the sealing lip and the duster with suitable lubricating grease to extend the service life of the duster.

For sealing liquids at higher pressures, oil seals with a specially designed membrane must be used (high-pressure oil seals). In our offer you will find oil seals of this type in only one dimension because the other dimensions are not kept in stock. For further information call: +420 777 666 555.
