rubber matts or rubber sheets are pressed surfaces made from rubber materials. The applications for this type of rubber flooring are almost unlimited. Rubber sheets serve as anti-vibration mats in industry, transport and also in the building industry.
Using GUFERO rubber sheets has many advantages. Most customers are attracted by the low prices of rubber sheets. This is not the only advantage of rubber matts. Among the other benefits of rubber sheet is its high point elasticity, anti-slip surface and easy application directly on site without any other requirements. All customers are interested in the long service life of rubber flooring and the easy maintenance of rubber sheet. When putting furniture on rubber matts there is no need to worry about sharp edges.
GUFERO rubber matts can easily be used as rubber flooring in many applications. Rubber sheets can be used in workshops or warehouses and can be used in automobiles as well. Rubber matts is an excellent material for the manufacture of seals and anti-vibration components or insulating rubber layers. Rubber carpets can be used as protective aprons. Rubber carpets are also used as anti-vibration mats placed under gravel beds. Some builders apply rubber matts under concrete structures to absorb shock vibrations. The anti-slip and anti-vibration properties of rubber sheet are highly appreciated by warehouse keepers and logistics workers in charge of the transport and storage of goods. rubber matts is of particular importance for the transport of glass and furniture. Similarly, rubber sheets find applications in the transport of window frames, door frames, palletized goods and other items.
Rubber sheets have various properties depending on the material used for the manufacture of the rubber matts. The properties of rubber matts that are of special interest are its mechanical strength and oil resistance. If you want to apply rubber carpet in a place where chemical substances are used then rubber flooring’s acid resistance will also be of interest.
Rubber flooring made of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is suitable for applications used in undemanding conditions. In situations where there is no need for the rubber sheet to have a higher resistance to the effects of temperature and chemical substances, standard rubber flooring will suffice, however this does age and possibly stretches over time. SBR stands for styrene-butadiene rubber sheets. Rubber matts made of SBR rubber is resistant to mechanical stress. This type of rubber flooring can withstand temperatures within the range of -20 to +70 °C. The density of the rubber sheet is approximately 1.45 g/cm3 and has a hardness of 65 ShA.
Rubber flooring made of NBR is highly resistant to oils and petrol. This type of rubber sheet is also resistant to thermal ageing. NBR rubber matts is available in thicknesses of 1 - 12 mm. We can supply this type of rubber flooring in the form of rubber sheets with the dimensions 800 × 1,200 mm, and/or in rubber rolls 1.2 x 10 m (width x length).
Rubber matts made of MVQ (methyl vinyl silicone rubber) is relatively more expensive but has a number of distinct advantages over other materials for rubber sheets. Silicone rubber flooring retains its elasticity at low temperatures and at the same time is resistant to high temperatures as well. This rubber matts has excellent resistance to UV radiation, ozone, weathering and ageing. Another advantage of this material for rubber carpets is its absolute absorption capacity as well as the rubber sheet being non-staining. Special applications for rubber sheets are found in the food industry because this material is resistant to bacteria. rubber matts does not stain and does not affect the taste or smell of food either. The rubber sheets are also highly resistant to adhesives and long term exposure to steam, alkali or organic solvents.
This material for rubber flooring is highly resistant to thermal ageing. This rubber sheet is also resistant to weathering and the effects of ozone. This rubber flooring is able to resist inorganic acids as well as some organic ones. Rubber sheets made of EPDM are available in thicknesses of 3 - 50 mm and in several length dimensions.
Rubber sheets with inserts are equipped with a textile insert which increases the overall strength of the rubber carpet and prevents easy tearing.
Microporous rubber sheets are used for the manufacture of soft seals. Other applications of microporous sheet include the damping of vibrations and noise or clearance adjustment. We supply microporous sheets manufactured from ethylene propylene monomer (EPDM). sheets manufactured from EPDM are resistant to weathering and a number of chemical substances. In contrast, microporous sheets have poor resistance to oils and greases. This drawback with regards to microporous sheets is more than offset by their resistance to ageing.
Anti-slip rubber is manufactured to improve the safety of movement and prevent people and animals slipping. We offer two basic types of these rubber sheets. One type is grooved rubber, which as its name indicates, has a grooved pattern on its surface. Due to the uneven surface the risk of slipping on the rubber flooring is reduced. You can use the rubber matts as stable carpets and mats for horses, cows and other animals. These rubber sheets are applied in stables and boxes, as rubber flooring in transport vehicles or on access roads. Anti-slip rubber also has applications in veterinary medicine where they provide a stable surface which is easy to maintenance and disinfect. We supply anti-slip rubber sheets in seven designs so that everybody can choose the type of rubber sheet suitable for their application. The second type of anti-slip rubber is so-called patterned rubber. As the name of this rubber matts suggests, its surface is not grooved, but covered in circular patterns resembling coins. The application of this anti-slip flooring is very similar to that of the grooved anti-slip rubber.
Rubber flooring of the DIELECTRIC type provides additional protection to parts of power supply lines that are not live against contact voltage. The surface of the rubber flooring almost eliminates the risk of slipping and thus provides a safe surface to walk on. Dielectric carpets are manufactured with the strength up to 25 kV. Due to this property rubber sheets are used in halls with high-power electrical equipment.
Rubber sheets are manufactured in rotary presses. If the rubber flooring is shorter than the length of a roll, they can be manufactured in frames.
Rubber sheets can be easily cut to size, cut out or joined to create precision seals or anti-vibration mats.
